New Yorkers Must Wait to Be Ogled by TSA
Sorry, New York. Those full body scanners promised "for September" at Newark, JFK, and LaGuardia airports back in August are still not available. Turns out the installation of -- like the public's reaction to -- the machinery is a bit "complex." 
TSA says the machines will be in place "in the coming weeks," so you've got a little more time to get dedicated to that new workout program before your next flight. Because the only thing more embarrassing than being caught with a bomb or gun on your personage would be being caught looking fat, right?
In the meantime, enjoy neighborly pat-downs and invigorating jaunts through metal detectors during your next air travel experience in the New York City area. (58 other airports nationwide, like in Harrisburg and Milwaukee, have the scanners already.)
