Wouldn't You Know, Falling in Love Is the Crack Cocaine of Nature

Just in case you doubted it, scientists have now confirmed that falling in love basically generates the same "euphoric" feeling as using cocaine. It also stimulates intellectual areas of the brain as well as the stereotypical areas of the heart...and it only takes a fifth of a second to get you high. Fuck, no wonder there are so many addicts running around.

According to research done through Syracuse University, West Virginia University, and a hospital in Switzerland,

When a person falls in love, 12 areas of the brain work in tandem to release euphoria-inducing chemicals such as dopamine, oxytocin, adrenaline, and vasopression. The love feeling also affects sophisticated cognitive functions, such as mental representation, metaphors, and body image.

Other drug-like things that can happen after a dose of love:
--Your blood levels of nerve growth factor increase.
--You, sometimes, don't even have to eat! Or sleep!
--You want more.
--When you don't get it, you go insane.

Now, if we could track down our very first dealers and get them off the streets and put away for life, maybe we could focus and do some actual work for a change.

Or we could just watch this [So I've got a question: Do you want to have a slumber party in my basement?]. And weep. We really don't have time for rehab.
