With the downfall of one-time witch Christine O'Donnell, City Council member Daniel Halloran remains the highest elected heathen in the country.
Of course, the born-again virgin O'Donnell never claimed to be a heathen. Despite taking some heat from fellow pagans for stressing his Roman Catholic roots, Halloran has been relatively open about his Theodism.
Still, Halloran never wanted to speak to us about his religion. But he gave a lengthy interview last week to Pagan+Politics. It's well worth a read.
