CRIME ALERT! There is an actual article in the New York Post today about boyfriend-stealing. Because one girl taking another girl's man is news. That is, when the "one girl" is Lady Gaga, and the other girl, a mere human 21-year-old actress, simply had a role on Law & Order: SVU.

While we get that Alex Stebbins, whom you might recognize from her onetime TV role playing a "bondage pinup girl," had all the publicity reasons in the world to tell her tale of woe to the Post -- and the Post, quite reasonably, had all the SEO reasons in the world to run her tale -- we can only hope that someday, average non-Gaga-fame-level girls will be able to air their sordid stories of boyfriend theft in national publications as well. Because that would be amusing, and might actually help stanch the flow of such crimes, which don't only happen as related to Lady Gaga, you know.

Anyway, we get some choice quotes from Stebbins, like:

"I wasn't going to go toe to toe with Lady Gaga, because that's like fighting Jesus."

and

"She's the most powerful woman in the world, and there's no winning."

Apparently Stebbins and Luc Carl, Gaga's former love, a 29-year-old bartender/drummer, had been dating for a year. But when Gaga saw them together, "I had the one thing she couldn't have, and that made her want it more," says Stebbins. Finally, after months of Jesus-like fighting tactics, Gaga convinced Luc to reconcile, and the two went to that Mets game together during which Gaga infamously flipped the bird -- and poor, newly single Stebbins had to watch. "It was so in my face," she said. "It felt like I got punched in the gut."
