Texting While Subway Driving Latest, Most Tech-Savvy Transit-Related Fright

Texting while driving isn't quite the insane meanace in New York City it is in, say, Los Angeles, where driving is the primary means of commuting. In the five boroughs, however, you're more likely to worry about your cab driving texting. But your subway conductor?

Oh yes. This is the SMS-Trian to hell. Via NY1:

A subway motorman caught on cell phone video texting while driving a train has turned himself in to transit officials. He has been removed from his post pending an investigation. A straphanger shot video of the motorman last Friday morning while riding a Manhattan-bound 7 train.

And as a friendly reminder, the cost of a Metrocard is going nowhere but up in the weeks to come.
