Yeshiva University Students Try to "Top" Dreidel-Spinning Record at Dreidel-Palooza
Yeshiva University students are aiming to set the record for "most dreidels spun at one time" at an event they're calling Dreidel-palooza, to take place tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. at the Max Stern Athletic Center on YU's campus. According to organizers, the event will "help raise Yeshiva University undergraduate scholarship funds" while also, ideally, snagging the participants a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.

According to the New York Daily News:
Jason Katz and fellow junior Fiona Guedalia need 540 dreidel devotees to join them tomorrow night at the school's Max Stern Athletic Center at 184th St. and Amsterdam Ave. to topple the current mark of 541, set five years ago at Temple Emanuel in Cherry Hill, N.J.
The event's Facebook event page adds, "Debuting at this event will be Yu's Brand New A Capella Group, The Y-Studs!!" So there will be more to this event than just the 10 seconds it takes for the dreidels to fall.
