Long Island Mother and Daughter Apprehended as Squalid, Awful Animal Torturers

In what sounds like an ideal Hoarders episode (just look at the picture of inside their house!), a mother and daughter on Long Island have been arrested on animal cruelty charges after police found 15 injured pets in their home -- and the remains of 26 others.

"Chihuahuas, three Doxons, an English bulldog, a Yorkshire terrier, a boxer, and two cats" among others, all in terrible condition. By the way, what's a Doxon? Does the Post mean "dachshund"?

The duo were keeping their dogs' muzzles taped shut, even the dead ones. And there were a fair amount of dead ones. Also dead ferrets, dead cats, and dead parrots. Shiver. Shiver, shiver, shiver.

What happened to those animals is most outrageous disgusting act of curlty I have every heard of but people you say these are the sickest people in america just think about all the people who do shit like this to humans!!! They were probably not far from it considering that if you read the whole case the daughter who was 23 was a CNA dealing with vunerable humans!!! Come on!!!! Really who does shit like that?? This just speaks to the inability of people to have compasion for any living being!!! Think about how many more stories that are similar to this that no one has done anything about. Recently my dads neighbor was arrested and put in prisson. His house was forclosed and the police who came to arrest him did not call the humane society or try to remove any of the animals on the property at all. Finally after talking to the police and the county court house we went on to the property and rescued two big dogs three puppies and about 13 roosters and chickens but in that prosces of trying to find out how we could help them 24 chickens were hatched and died in thier incubators... How is that any better and the it was the police who said we were not to go onto the property or take the animals that were still there!!!!!!

I know for a fact that Nassau County Child welfare visited this house about 10 years ago but did nothing. The daughter grew up with this madness and now probably doesn't know any better. Nassau County is partially to blame for a young woman now being mentallly messed up and in jail.

This is the most, outrageous thing that anyone could ever see. Especially someone like myself, who loves annimals more than anyhing. These people are 2 of the sickest people in the united states they definetly should have a lot stricter punishments at hand.
