crimebeat-logo.jpg
Two weeks after Maurice Gibson, 36, was shot to death in East Harlem, the NYPD is asking for public help in tracking down the prime suspect. Unfortunately, the description is hazy: a black man wearing a dark-colored jacket and black ski mask.

Gibson, who lived nearby on East 99th Street, was found at about 7:30 p.m. on December 23 in the lobby of 307 East 101st Street with gunshot wounds in his back, arm and butt. He later died at the hospital.

Tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips at nypdcrimestoppers.com or text info to 274637 (CRIMES), entering TIP577.
