Sarah Palin Supports "Homos" in the Military, Or Accidentally Retweeted Tammy Bruce

Sarah Palin's largely indecipherable Twitter account was again shrouded in mystery last night when a cryptic RT of a message from conservative gay comedienne Tammy Bruce showed up in the former governor's feed. "But this hypocrisy is just truly too much. Enuf already--the more someone complains about the homos the more we should look under their bed," [sic] Bruce wrote. And though some Twitter users contend that a retweet does not indicate support, Bruce thinks Palin used the tweet to reveal her position on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," about which she'd previously just said "not right now." Hm?

Bruce's comment -- the quite obvious assertion that those who speak out most fervently about the evils of homosexuality may very well be hiding something themselves -- is actually quite vague. Still, Bruce is pretty certain Palin was referring to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

After Palin's retweet whipped Twitter into a mini-frenzy, Bruce followed up: "I think @SarahPalinUSA RT my tweet is her first comment on DADT, treatment of gays & attempts to marginalize us--thank you Governor."

"So, @SarahPalinUSA RT's something that stands w gays re DADT and is supportive in general, what r the odds the LSM will try to ignore?" Bruce wrote.

Bruce argues that the media created a myth of Palin as "anti-gay," though possibly also to blame are Palin's generally backwards policy ideas, devotion to the Bible and her children's use of the word "faggot."

Then there is the possibility that Palin either retweeted by accident (unlikely since the post is not deleted) or just straight-up misunderstood what Bruce meant. Maybe she just thought it was a funny joke!

Palin, of course, has not since commented on the issue, tweeting only once more in the night, but about missile defense. It is far from impossible, though, that she would choose Twitter with which to stake a position on civil rights. This is the woman who creates national news with Facebook notes. That said, using the word "homos" is not very official, nor is it advisable for a maybe-probably-we'll see presidential hopeful. But, in the wise tweeted words of Tammy Bruce...

Tammy Bruce is a big supporter of sweet & straight Sarah Palin, who doesn't give "homo" issues much thought. She simply believes in privacy, not parades, when it comes to sex.
