Shaun Adorno's Killer? Cops Again Ask For Help.

| Suspected killer of Shaun Adorno |
At the time, Adorno's girlfriend told NY1 that she had no idea why anybody would want to kill him. He was blasted three times in the head and chest by the gunman, who so far has been caught only on a surveillance video (right).
But there were possible reasons for the murder.
Right after the murder, cops zoomed in on people in Brooklyn, where Adorno may have pissed off someone in a drug-dealing dispute, as the Staten Island Advance put it.
And there could be other reasons, as the Advance detailed a couple of months after the murder:
Police sources say Adorno had a checkered past, which included drug possession charges in 1999 and 2007, and a 1998 leaving the scene of an accident arrest.
In the 1998 case, Adorno ran a stop sign and struck a 7-year-old boy while driving a friend's black Lincoln Continental in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, according to court documents and news accounts. He fled the scene as an off-duty police officer chased him into Manhattan, where he struck another car, got out of his car and fought with the officer, striking him with a steel steering-wheel lock before running away.
Adorno turned himself in two days later, after his friend was charged in the hit-and-run.
