We're SO Over This Whole "Winter" Thing

This funny "attack ad" on winter made by AOL conveys how we're probably all feeling. Winter is so last season to us already.

Seasonal Affective Disorder, or SAD, appropriately, is also known as winter depression. Wikipedia says of the disease, "Symptoms of SAD may consist of difficulty waking up in the morning, morning sickness, tendency to oversleep as well as to overeat, and especially a craving for carbohydrates, which leads to weight gain." Except for the morning sickness, we've been doing all of that. A jumbo bag of pretzels from the Union Square Greenmarket that was supposed to last us a couple of weeks mysteriously disappeared in just a few days.

Although yesterday morning's snow fall has totaled to only about three inches, it felt like someone was spitting in our faces. The snow that was left over from the two previous storms was almost 100% melted and we were beginning to see only sidewalks around. Then BLAM, down from the sky came three inches of white poop blanketing everything again. And today it'll only be 23 degrees, icing everything over. All of the rock salt that we have to put down again is going to ruin every pair of Ugg boots on Staten Island, it's just not fair.

But "it gets better", right? Right?!? Well December is long gone, January is almost over, and that means Feburary is almost here. Oh yeah and then it's Valentines Day and we're reminded of our persistent singleness.

C'mon spring, we're rooting for you. You were always our favorite (besides summer of course).
