Al Jazeera reports that the morning has been peaceful, although the military has increased its presence among the 10,000 or so demonstrators in Cairo's Tahrir Square. - The number of schools in NYC that fail to meet federal guidelines for student progress could more than double this year, from 321 to more than 660. The increase is related to new standards on New York state reading and math exams. [NYP]
