House Votes to Block Federal Aid For Planned Parenthood

The House of Representatives voted Friday afternoon to block Planned Parenthood from receiving federal funding by a count of 240-185. The measure was led by GOP Rep. Mike Pence, who argues that the government should not support organizations that "provide or promote" abortion. The group last reported $363 million in federal funding. But Planned Parenthood also works to provide sex education and contraception, which has been known to prevent sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy. The bill will now move on to the United States Senate, where it will likely face more opposition and hopefully fail. Maybe take a moment to sign the I Stand With Planned Parenthood petition, and possibly even donate. [WaPo]

Uh Ya, OK Joe, I'll sign your petition so my tax dollars can continue to go to this joke of an organization that helps girls across the country use abortion as a form of birth control.....good thing your mother wasn't around planned parenthood before you entered the world....PP is a disgrace that hides behind the claim they provide education and birth control.....their main form of birth control?...ABORTION!!
