Little Dogs Must Not Be Trusted

New York's most vicious dogs are, in this order, the pit bull, the Rottweiler, the Shih Tzu, the Chihuahua, and the standard poodle. Pit bulls bit 815 people last year, which, reports the New York Post, was apparently a "record" year for dog bites. Pit bulls, yeah, we get it, but why are little dogs so mean? Because ladies are stuffing them in their purses and taking them shopping! Shopping pisses us off, too, sometimes.

"Small dogs may frequently be put in situations that are more provocative than, say, a Labrador is exposed to," said Dr. E'Lise Christensen, an animal behaviorist at NYC Veterinary Specialists.

"For example, most people don't take their Labradors to Bloomingdale's," she said.

Bloomingdale's sucks.

Also, little dogs don't know how big they are, or maybe they have Napoleon complexes, or just nasty 'tudes in their teeny-tiny adorable fluffy bodies. So, really, you should take your small dog to the therapist so it can take out its aggressions on someone you're paying instead of a random shopgirl.

The good news: At least small dogs have small mouths.
