Playboy Mansion Party May Have Sickened 100
Los Angeles County health officials are investigating Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion because 100 people fell ill after attending a party there. In the days after the party on February 3rd, all these people started reporting "fever, respiratory problems and violent headaches." Because of the Playboy Mansion. Oh God! There are so many jokes to be made about this that I can't quite come up with right now, involving Hugh Hefner being old, and all the weird sex going on there, and just the general grossness of the Playboy Mansion. 
Rumor has it that the disease came out of a fog machine. Not even really sure how that would work. But four Swedish men who were at the party came down with Pontiac disease, which is a milder form of Legionnaire's, which (I just looked this up) is this awful thing where 5% to 30% of cases can end in death. And so, that disease can come out of warm water? Hence the fog machine.
Or maybe it just happened because there's got to be like 5,000 diseases floating around the Playboy Mansion. But anyway, someone notified the L.A. County Department of Public Health, who are now investigating the claims.
Playboy denies that anyone caught anything at the mansion: "There is no truth in the rumor that anyone caught anything at the Playboy Mansion. Nor is there any evidence. None of the Playboy staff became ill, the deejay was in the middle of the fog and she didn't get ill." Well, maybe the "deejay" is particularly hardy. I think the evidence here might be that 100 people with only one thing in common (that they went to this party) got ill within 48 hours after attending. I don't know, seems logical.
Hef is staying mum on the issue for now.
