Ragene Powell-Dickerson, Wanted in Sexting Slaying of Dwayne Burnett, Surrenders

​The guy accused of hiring someone to lure a pal via sexting to a phony threesome setup and then shoot him to death is now in custody. Ragene Powell-Dickerson, 25, who like victim Dwayne Burnett is from Brownsville, surrendered today to Brooklyn cops and has been charged with second-degree murder, the NYPD says.

Powell-Dickerson had consoled the family of victim Dwayne Burnett after the murder. They may now get some real consolation. Powell's accused of paying Jimmy Copeland, 24, $10,000 to do the crime. As the Post's John Doyle adds:

Copeland enlisted his sister Crystal, 22, and her girlfriend to help, having them lure Burnett to his death by texting him nude photos and inviting him to a sexual rendezvous at a home on Riverdale Avenue near Stone Avenue, the sources said.

When Burnett showed up to the home about 6:30 p.m. on June 13, Copeland was waiting and shot him several times, police said.

Copeland and his cohorts were arrested a short time after the crime, the Post says.
