Thanks to DNA, cops have linked two gunpoint rapes in the south Bronx — one in November 2010 and the other way back in August 2000 — to the same suspect. The scumbag is still on the loose. Last November 4, at about 2:15 a.m. around Sound View Avenue, the guy (sketched at right) accosted a 21-year-old woman, pulled her into a white Nissan Pathfinder (shown at right) and raped her at gunpoint. On August 16, 2000, a guy with the same DNA had approached a 21-year-old woman around Webster Avenue, pulled a gun on her, and took her to a vacant room and raped her.

The suspect is believed to be in his 30s and is 5-6 to 5-10, medium build. Tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips at nypdcrimestoppers.com or text info to 274637 (CRIMES), entering TIP577.
