There's a fun new way to celebrate your body, which, after all, God made, which means that celebrating your body is really celebrating God, and are you a Christian or are you a Christian? Via The Frisky, "Pole Fitness for Jesus" lessons are set to "Christian music" (Stryper?), and women attending such lessons say inspirational things like, "God gives us these bodies and they are supposed to be our temples and we are supposed to take care of them and that's what we are doing," "I feel a spiritual connection," and "Hook low and then you just bring it through." Watch and learn.

This is happening, with a certain amount of controversy (no judgments!), in Texas now, which means it's only a short time before Crunch Fitness starts offering nationwide religious pole-dancing classes to go along with their other creative offerings. Why not pole dance for Jesus? There are too many professed religious folks who feel they have the answer of how others should express their beliefs and feelings. It ain't true. It's Spring! Give yourself a break and grab hold of the hope and beauty that Spring promises. Hell (I didn't mean it), get a pot of hyacinths -- beautifully in bloom now and very fragrant -- and read a very short poem/prayer about spring by Ralph Waldo Emerson:
