Earth Hour Is Tonight

savetheplanet.jpg
Tonight, New York will join a host of international cities observing Earth Hour by shutting off the lights in a bunch of landmark buildings. This includes the Empire State Building, the U.N. headquarters, the New York Public Library, and a whole bunch of others, including some signs in Times Square. Hunky Edward Norton is the ambassador for Earth Hour this year! I think we're all supposed to sit in darkness in our homes, too? All these assorted lights will be shut off from 8:30 to 9:30 tonight. So, um, look out for that.

Due to the various time changes, it should look beautiful, as the lights go off in sections and then come back to life in reverse. I wonder if they will be recording this event from space?
