8-Year-Old Sells Gun For $3 at School

Thumbnail image for 20101119_guns.jpeg
An 8-year-old boy in Queens sold a classmate a loaded handgun for $3 on Thursday, leading to criminal weapons possession charges for his father; the child faces family court. The kid brought the Taurus 9 mm, which the dad says he bought ten years ago for protection, to his elementary school, PS 107 in Flushing, and passed it off on a classmate for the paltry sum. Investigators say the customer thought he was buying a toy. A sad and potentially scary story, to be sure, but since everyone is safe, let us point out that this particular purchaser has proven he has an eye for a bargain, which could come in handy later in life. I am surprised that this sort of thing is even monitored anymore due to gangsta culture and the glorification of murder which has desensitized our social and criminal system. I don't expect Ignacio Galvin will even serve time for this blatant child endangerment issue. It's my opinion that like most parents now he doesn't even care -chip off the ole block. It's really hard to have hope when parents condone this violence. It's a celebration of mediocrity and savagery.

The police believe the kid who bought the gun thought it was a toy so they are not charging him. Yet the kid who sold it is being charged? Maybe he thought it was a toy also. In any case teens who commit crimes in which someone was actually injured is not punished in any meaningful way.

Loose gun laws = another manipulated measure of population checks in America

Obviously - the laws were there - other wise the guy would not be charge with anything.
