Crying New Jersey Governor Kid Gets What He Wanted

Jesse Koczon, the New Jersey kid who cried all over YouTube because he was "too small" to be the governor of New Jersey, is now going to be the governor of New Jersey. Chris Christie, the actual governor, signed a "proclamation" on Wednesday morning that named Small Jesse "honorary governor" for a day, meaning he gets a tour of the governor's office, according to the Wall Street Journal. His twin brother Brandon gets to come along too, but there's no word on whether he gets to be deputy or not. (Either way, Brandon is definitely going to cry.) But for now, they're thrilled: "They both just started jumping up and down, and they were screaming," said the boys' mom. The children said they were "the luckiest kids ever." Sorry to be the curmudgeon, but this sucks.

It's just a poor precedent to set, for children and adults. "Don't worry Jesse, people gave plenty of reasons why I couldn't be Governor, though being too small wasn't one of them," Gov. Christie tweeted a few days back. What if Christie cries because he wants to be president? Are we just going to let him be president? He may be "sexy," but he also lies quite a bit.

Jesse is five-years-old now so he's already less cute and has changed his mind, according to his mom: he doesn't even want to be governor anymore. Plus, the family already took home $10,000 from America's Funniest Home Videos for the clip. And now we're going to reward that kind of behavior again? Whining! This kid is getting spoiled.
