Heroin Mill that Packaged "Lebron James"-Brand Smack Busted

The DEA has announced the takedown of a heroin packaging mill in Fort Lee, NJ. About five and a half pounds of heroin was seized yesterday, as well as 100,000 glassine envelopes. The envelopes bore names of different brands of the drug, including "Roger Dat," "Spring Break," "True Dat" and -- just in time for the second round of the NBA playoffs -- "LeBron James." Ten people are currently being held in connection with the bust.

The mill was set up in a residential home that was located within 1,000 feet of an elementary school. Unfortunately, children reportedly got even closer than the aforementioned 1,000 feet:

Upon entering the residence, law enforcement officers found one defendant, Cecelia Genao, had been stamping brand names on glassine bags at the kitchen table, while her preschool-aged daughter sat nearby eating breakfast and watching cartoons on television. Genao, who lives at the house where the mill was located, will be charged with endangering the welfare of a child and maintaining a heroin production facility, in addition to other drug charges.

Officials estimate that the heroin was worth over $1.5 million. $50,000 of cash was also seized.
