Jon Stewart Takes On Terrorist Screenings for 9/11 First Responders

On last night's Daily Show, host Jon Stewart absolutely eviscerated the amendment proposed to the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Law, which says that before first responders receive medical benefits, they must first be screened by the F.B.I. to assure they're not terrorists.

Stewart mixed just the right amount of outrage and mockery, calling the provision, proposed by Florida Congressman Cliff Sterns, "a piece of shit," "gratuitous and frankly dickish," and "the literal insult-to-injury amendment" before obliterating the logic of the law, too.

"Oh, you're insulting the 911 responders to weed out the flood of neighborhood passerby terrorists who got sick and waited around ten years to submit insurance claims," Stewart said with rightful disgust. Watch the full clip above.

We are a century behind the times in Baton Rouge. Did Florida Congressman Cliff "notes" Sterns include a pilodinal cyst rider to exclude legal terrorists like extremist Republicans and Christians?
