Red Cross Taking Care of Homeless Hipsters From Williamsburg Trailer Park

hipsters are no longer goldmines of humor.jpg
The twenty people, mostly artists, who were forced to leave their Williamsburg warehouse trailer park heaven because of building violations are now being taken care of by the Red Cross, Metro reports today. The local creative collective has endured their share of harassment from the city, despite claiming all of their paperwork is in order. Maybe it's more legal flack than they deserve, even for how annoying they sound when they say things like, "First they evicted us, now they're vacating us -- we're being persecuted." The "trust fund kid slumming it" stereotype is alive and well near their Meserole Street building and this isn't helping: "I didn't expect to go to college and then deal with this." The Red Cross, mom and dad are all saints. [Metro]
