This Is How the TSA Pats Down a 6-Year-Old Girl

Updated after the jump with TSA and Congressional response.

This video of the TSA patting down and, possibly, drug-testing a 6-year-old girl has been circulating to the shock and horror of many (Drudge Report has image of the little girl with the headline "TSA STILL GROPING CHILDREN!"). Suffice it to say, we don't know the full circumstances here, and there isn't much to go on, but it does seem like a case of the letter of the law being followed to the degradation of the spirit. This is the world we live in, apparently.

UPDATE 1: Congress and the TSA are reviewing the incident.

UPDATE 2: Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) has introduced a new bill that would require TSA screeners to get parental consent before doing thorough pat-downs on young kids, and for a parent (or, in lieu of a parent, an airline representative) to be present during the process. This comes after this video of a 6-year-old girl getting an extensive pat-down went viral, causing the TSA to say they'd review their policies for screening young children.
