The Museum of the City of New York has expanded their photography archive online, adding some 10,000 images. Elizabeth Finkelstein, director of preservation and research at the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, pointed us to a few that are particularly of interest to us: our very own Village Voice building at 36 Cooper Square, which welcomed Mayor Michael Bloomberg just yesterday, caught fire in 1905.
