Child Services Investigate Botox-Injecting Pageant Mom; Update: Mom Loses Custody

California mom Kerry Campbell, who has publicly admitted to giving her 8-year-old daughter Botox injections before beauty pageants, is under investigation by San Francisco child protective services. Finally! After the jump: Kerry Campbell has lost custody of her daughter.

Campbell's little girl Britney is a regular beauty pageant competitor. Not only does her mom inject her with Botox, but she also gives her "virgin waxes" to ensure that she won't grow pubic hair in the future. Britney told U.K. paper The Sun, "I check every night for wrinkles [and] when I see some, I want more injections....They used to hurt, but now I don't cry that much...I also want a boob and nose job soon, so I can be a star." There are some really horrifying photos of little Britney receiving her injections with a pained look on her face.

Apparently, after the mother-daughter duo's appearance on GMA, callers ran to the phones and contacted San Fran's child abuse hotline. Good, because this lady is CRAY. Ma'am, your daughter hasn't even hit puberty yet and you've already saddled her with a face full of botulinum toxin and likely some fucked-up body image issues.

Update: Monday, May 16: After appearing on GMA and receiving a load of bad press, Campbell has lost custody of her daughter, ABC News reports.

A person with knowledge of the situation told ABC News that the girl, Britney, is doing well but did not offer more detail on the ongoing investigation into the girl's mother, Kerry Campbell.

Some lessons here: Don't inject your kid with Botox. And if you do, and an article about you in The Sun doesn't get you enough attention, don't go on an American morning show to tell the U.S. parenting community about it, because they will hunt you down and make you pay. We hope for the best for Britney, who doesn't "think wrinkles are nice on little girls." A sad situation all around.

This is really weird thing a mother do with her daughter. This was really a bad act done by any parent. Hope she get its punishment for this deed....

She was definitely paid to do all those interviews but thank Good people from Child Support stand up because otherwise this mother could have started a national trend....Now I'm sure no mother, even if she wanted, would ever do this to her child.

One pretty important thing to ask here is who the suck doctors and beauticians who actually went along with it?

The girl is only 8 years old...she doesn't even have hair on her legs..... People from child support should punish this mother because if they won't this could start a trend. Botox is great but not for kids, because botox is an anti-aging solution. It should be forbidden on kids.

Virgin waxes?  Botox injections?  This woman is a torturer.  The child has learned to cope by going along with it.   So sad.
