Gary Faulkner, Bin Laden-Hunter, Wants His Cut of the Reward Money

Remember Gary Faulkner, the 52-year-old Colorado construction worker on a one-man mission to kill Osama bin Laden? Despite being on dialysis, he made it to Chitral, in Pakistan, where he was picked up last summer, complete with dagger, biblical literature, night-vision goggles, and sword. Chitral is "about 300 miles" from Abbottabad, where bin Laden was actually caught and killed on Sunday night. Now Faulkner's come forward to explain that he deserves a portion of the $25 million reward money offered for bin Laden's killing or capture.

"I scared the squirrel out of his hole, he popped his head up and he got capped," Faulkner told ABC News this week, referring to bin Laden's death. "[U.S. officials] were handed this opportunity on a platter from myself," he was quoted as saying.

Faukner also claims that bin Laden was not in Abbottabad for six years and, in fact, "I absolutely flushed him out."

Here's Faulkner on Letterman talking about his trip back in June of 2010.
