Osama Bin Laden was a "prolific email writer" despite having no Internet in the Abbottabad, Pakistan, compound where he hid for about five years. U.S. intel after the raid that killed Bin Laden shows that the Al Qaeda leader managed to send "thousands of messages" from "hundreds of email addresses" using a careful system in which he wrote a message, put it on a flash drive, and gave it to a "trusted courier," who took it to an Internet café to send, while doing the opposite for incoming messages. Patience was probably key! Along with five computers, Navy SEALs confiscated about 100 flash drives from the compound. We can only hope for archived Gchats. [AP]
