Naked and Racist Subway Meltdown Terrifies People and Police, But Not Trusty Cameraman

"You get the fuck off the train," yells the naked blond man on the 6 train in the above Not Safe For Work video. "Shoot me, shoot me!" he screams at a police officer. That's after the Michael Richards-style racial slurs, all with his pants around his ankles. The pants come off eventually -- boxers, too -- and then everyone really freaks out. Except the cop, unfortunately, who stands by sort of gingerly as the man attacks innocent people. Restraining him looks worryingly difficult. People in the background laughing as this mental man tried to toss people onto the tracks and attacked others. That officer needed the help of citizens. Police officers are not superheros! Camera man should have put down his cell phone cam and helped. We live in a world of "everybody else but me"....until it happens to you. Get off your me platforms and find your human side people. Why does the cop with a gun and other forms of weapons seem to b afraid of the idiot? He should have been tasered right away and maybe his prick could atleast grow to 2 inches and not given a chance to attack people.
The Police officer really did seem to take his time doing anything about it. More morons videotaping then helping the Police. If everyone left, this naked guy would have had less of an audience.

Is it just me or did the officer take a moment to spring into action? I mean, once the perp is FULL MONTY and ( apologies to his genitalia ), clearly without a weapon, you can roll in with all your best academy sanctioned maneuvers. I've been tackled by the Finest for much less.

Do you really want to take the chance of being bitten by a naked, crazy guy? What if he scratched you? What if he has AIDS? I'd want to beat him down too, but you gotta think of the possibilities. Besides, there was a copy right there and it's not worth going to jail for assault cause you had to hit a crazy guy that grabbed your bag.

I don't know what's the problem with subways... It doesn't matter if you live in NYC, Paris or wherever. Subways are a world apart! It's like a magnet for the insane, demented and freaky people. I live in Barcelona, and have witnessed some scary and sick episodes when riding the subway: people getting undressed and yelling... just like the poor lad in the video, drunkards, vandals, people on drugs doin' sick things...

Thank you M.T.M THE EYE ,,As i read through these comments i really got upset and disturbed at the lack of understanding and compassion for the young man and what was happening to him. I know its awful and scary to witness, but it was obvious he was having some sort of brake down. He might have gone off meds or worse he might be having his first episode, the police handled it perfectly. They watched him and when he became a threat to others and him self the policemen got people to help subdue him,,BY THE GRACE OF GOD GO I...,,RD93.
It really wouldn't surprise if this young guy was having some sort of a psychotic episode. Maybe even a prelude to schizophrenia. Of course there are many other possibilities, but my instincts tell me there is much more to this than meets the eye. The odd disrobing, the rants, all that seems fitting with a psychotic episode related to schizophrenia. If that's the case, I feel sorry not only for the terrified people on the train, but for what that young man's life might be like from now on.
Standard protocol in this type of situation should be to just start clubbing them until they are docile.

Ok, does saying/calling someone out of hatred, "nigger!" - that really offends ANYONE anymore? ...just saying. I AM BLACK and I find it a easy cop out and moreso funny than anything. It clearly is not a reflection of me [in 2011], it's a reflection of the one doing the name-calling. This alone is reason enough to never ride the subways again aside from atrocious personal experiences. I was born and raised here, so tourists are not the only ones horrified and disgusted by what happens here. There are some of us native New Yorkers who are not yet jaded enough to be okay with with these acts of insanity. It's not funny and it can be very scary. Walking through the 14th street avenue tunnel to catch the L train, I got to witness a hobo drag his ass along the floor like a dog and away from a huge shitpile which no doubt was his. There were plenty of people walking through there rushing and covering their noses as the stench permeated the entire tunnel. From the time I was barely a teenager until now, I have seen enough startling and disgusting things to just want to leave NYC altogether. Who needs to go to Central Park or Bronx Zoo when we have the wildlife running in the streets and subways?
I really want to be present for some crazy shit like this. The best I've ever seen on the subway was a guy who was projectile vomiting all over an entire subway car.
Where else but NYC?
