Video From the Lone Dude Protesting Tom Cruise's Humanitarian Award

Categories: Scientology

We were looking forward to some reports from last Thursday night's gala at the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Beverly Hills, where Tom Cruise received his humanitarian award. But we noticed, as it approached, that normally assertive anti-Scientology protester-types in Los Angeles had put out the word not to show up, for some reason.

Well, no one apparently told Angry Gay Pope, flamboyant anti-Scientology protester extraordinaire (check out his website at angrygaypope.com, it's a riot), who showed up only to find he was a one-man demonstration. But that may have actually helped make his video even funnier. (My favorite part: Check out the ponytail on the doofus who keeps telling AGP to "get a life.")

For some background on Cruise's award, check out our earlier post. And don't miss Paulette Cooper's remarkable denunciation of the Simon Wiesenthal Center's decision to decorate the man who is synonymous with Scientology.

Thanks for writing about this, Tony. Way to go AGP!

Who is the humanitarian? Is it Tom Cruise who plays pretend heros and amasses a fortune while being the poster boy for world's most dangerous and lucrative cult? Or is it the Angry Gay Pope, the unemployed activist that spends his time and money warning people of the criminal cult of Scientology? For enduring endless legal harrassment and persisting despite the fact there is no financial reward, I nominate the AGP.

Is _The_Voice_ and _Angry_Gay_Pope_ - are these organizations - extreme anti-religious organizations?  Are they also into allowing "extreme sins" into the world?  I mean they seem to be into promoting extreme public lewdity. I find some of what they promote to be repulsive. Pornography may be some of what they seem to promote.  This is the kind of stuff that Osama Bin Laden loved to watch.  Pornography is harmful to the world really.  The world is dividing up.   No one can truelly unite all religions into one religion and no one can unite all humanity.  But, the world divides up, naturally, with it being hard to distinguish who is on what side of the spiritual war that rages on.  From which God had me stand down and take a breather or break from for a while, beginning in around March/February sometime.  So, I could get a better feel for things and just who is on the same side as I am and who isn't.   There is a war of the lighter, cream-colored lines of the tentacles of one crowd of people, and the darker, grey, a very dark shade of grey, colored lines of the tentacles of the other crowd of people.  They are on opposing sides.  I thought I was a Christian who basically just simply ignored who Scientology was and was about because they hadn't really bothered me and I just wasn't worried about it.  It's normal in Dallas just to ignore Scientology and they ignore us.  But, in the past few years, I've taken more notice of it, following my study of Messianic Judaism.  That study followed my study of the Charismatic/Pentacostal contemporary form of Christianity.  That study followed my study of traditional Christianity, which includes a number of traditional denominations.  But, some of the studies of my past religious concentrations, still continue to this day.  God gives me visions of some sort.  Which help me in gaining some understanding of issues.  These issues cause even churches to be torn a part in the modern day and age as we don't really know who it is that is on the same side of a war and who it is that is on the opposite side of a war.  I'm not talking about physical, decernable, war, which involve physical weapons that harm the body.  I'm talking about the spiritual warfare that goes on.  It goes on between the Kingdom of Light and the Kingdom of Darkness.  Don't let religious labels fool you.  You don't know who under what label is on the same side as you are, and you don't know who under what religious label is on the opposite side than you are.   God shows me and talks to me about these things.  Then there are those who prefer to go without any religious labels at all.  You never really know which side of the war those folks are on, either.

Some socalanons decided the SWC event was just a PR nightmare. AGP doesn't care, so he turned out while the rest of us harassed the media unmercifully until we got some jews asking the right questions.

Ironically, the Nation of Islam members are asking a similar question, "Scientology wut?"

"All kinds of crap on the internet" is going to fly for how long? The internet is a revolution in people being able to communicate with each other, having access to quality, in-depth information and documentation, often the truth.

It wouldn't be the same for me, without the internet, hearing Tom Cruise frothing away, being able to read Paulette Cooper's book and Miller's book for free. Hearing L. Ron Hubbard speak, ranting like a loon about his trip to Venus or his cancer preventative of smoking more cigarettes. Or, being able to hear from many former members.

Anne Frank's diary survived because of a fluke. The young victims of Scientology are speaking about their victimization on the web and we are hearing them.

Many people have no conception of what the internet means, because they don't know how to use the web as a source for information

It still means a big change for Scientology, as even now they are attracting far fewer young stars.

I hope the Wiesenthal humanitarian award for Cruise opens up more discussion on TV, as there just might be enough people in the Jewish community who are shocked by this.

Good job gay pope!

I hope that in the future, the Simon Wiesenthal Center researches whom they are giving their award to and what it really represents.Yes they are giving it to a famous person whose award ceremony will bring in many donations.  But this particular recipient has a lot of baggage.  He is the face of scientology to much of the world in the absence of Hubbard himself.  The leader of scientology, David Miscavige does not make public appearances except to primarily scientology crowds.  Tom Cruise and David Miscavige are well known as good friends.  Tom Cruise is well aware of what scientology's ultimate goal of clearing the planet of suppressive persons.  He has even joked about this that in the future, suppressive persons will not exist except in history books. Every critic of scientology is considered a suppressive person.  L. Ron Hubbard placed all humans on what is called the "Tone Scale".   It goes from -40 for total failure to 40 for Serenity of beingness.  People can move up and down the scale, but scientologists seeks to be on the upper end.Covert hostility is at 2 on the scale.  Homosexuals according to Hubbard are at 1.1.

Hubbard said this about people located here on the tone scale:"…any person from 2.0 down on the tone scale should not have, in any thinking society, any civil rights of any kind, because by abusing those rights they bring into being arduous and strenuous laws which are oppressive to those who need no such restraints" and "There are only two answers for the handling of people from 2.0 down on the tone scale, neither of which has anything to do with reasoning with them or listening to their justification of their acts. The first is to raise them on the Tone Scale by unenturbulating some of their theta by any one of the three valid processes  The other is to dispose of them quietly and without sorrow."

Tom Cruise is a high level scientologist.  He believes this.  Just ask him to say Hubbard was wrong, he cannot do that.

Remember,  "...dispose of them quietly and without sorrow."

PLUS the facts re: the cult of Scientology's abuses against families as a whole & fair game against policies against anyone who speaks out against the cult is too similar to Al Quieda!

LOL, dar-furs, is that like that rabbit or mink, Tom? Also, LOL @ the Scientology handler guy claiming to be an atheist but yet using one of Scientology's key defensive talking-points, "Get a life" and the "just false-data that you've read on the internet" that we always hear from the internet OSA-bots.

Also in B4 Louanne and OSA internet handlers.

*Clarification* I know it's a small nit to pick but I'm fairly certain that Darfur is pronounced more like "dar-four", a small nit but very revealing in showing how well aware Tom is of real humanitarian issues and how much effort he puts into understanding them.
