Anthony Weiner Sent 'Intimate' Photos to Another Woman; Andrew Breitbart's Big Government Revealing Them Slowly

IMG00165-20101119-2106.jpeg
Congressman Anthony Weiner couldn't say "with certitude" whether a picture of penis tweeted from his official account was indeed of him, dragging out what's been dubbed Weinergate through all of last week. Now Weiner's skittishness is starting to look justified as the ethically questionable Andrew Breitbart (grains of salt start here) claims a new "bombshell": Weiner, Big Government reports, was "involved in an online, consensual relationship involving the mutual exchange of intimate photographs" with a woman who is not his wife.

The photo above was allegedly sent by the congressman to the anonymous woman from AnthonyWeiner@aol.com on May 4, 2011, via BlackBerry, with the subject line "Me and the pussys." This doesn't look good. (Update: Radar Online and Star magazine claim Weiner also used an official Facebook account to send additional sexy messages. Plus, Breitbart unleashes shirtless photos. See below!)

As of 11:45 a.m., Breitbart has posted two Weiner pictures; the other one stars Weiner holding a sign that says "me" meant "to confirm" to this mystery woman "that he was taking photographs contemporaneously, in conjunction with their apparent online communications."

"We will be updating BigGovernment.com and BigJournalism.com throughout the day with photographs, timelines, and other clarifying details," Breitbart writes. "However, we will not be releasing all of the material because some of it is of an extreme, graphic nature."

Breitbart claims he was approached with this story "more than a week prior" to Weinergate. Now of course, with everyone watching, a truth-challenged provocateur like Breitbart would tease and draw out the process, already couching his supposed bombshell in caveats like "...we will not be releasing all of the material..."

But that doesn't make this look any better for Rep. Weiner. We're not here to moralize over suggestive subject lines or out-of-line photos and we have nothing resembling the full story here, but these photographs are undoubtedly of the congressman. Who he sent them to and why we don't know. But while attempting to get beyond a story centered around a questionable photograph, more questionable photographs don't just dig Weiner's hold deeper -- they're like dynamite that could cause the already-shaky walls to crumble.

We'll update when we know more, when Breitbart ceases to be so giddily withholding.

Update, 1:07 p.m.: It seems this day is going from bad to worse for Weiner. Now the assault is coming from outside the Breitbart empire with the gossip website Radar's exclusive report, in conjunction with Star, that Rep. Weiner used a since-abandoned, but still active Facebook account to send dirty messages to a stranger in Nevada:

Weiner, 46, wrote to the woman, "ridiculous bulge in my shorts now. wanna see?"

She responded: "Yea! can u send a pic?"

"jeez, im rushing. let me take a quick pic," Weiner answered.

There was also phone sex, supposedly. Whether or not there's truth in these claims or it's just relentless piling-on to an already out-of-hand scandal, it's impossible to say at this moment. But Weiner's team must be scrambling. At this rate, they'll need to offer some containment soon. Could today be the day Weiner goes down? Embroiled in a similar PG-13 or R-rated snafu (with the XXX stuff never really coming), it took Rep. Chris Lee, also of New York, only hours to resign; for Weiner, week two is shaping up to be a doozy.

Update, 1:34 p.m.: Well, speaking of Chris Lee, here's Weiner shirtless.

IMG00134-20101106-01261.jpeg
In the post, Breitbart not only implies that the infamous boxer picture was sent to a woman from the same email address as the flexing photo above, but that later, from the same anonymous Yahoo! email address, Weiner sent another picture, titled ready.JPG that "is extremely graphic, and leaves nothing to the imagination." This presumably naked photograph, though Breitbart warned earlier he "will not be releasing all of the material," probably won't stay secret for long.

WOWZA!  Arnold had a secret love-child for 13 years with their hired housekeeper and he only got 1 week of "notoriety and fame" from the press, but now Anthony Weiner should resign and then wear the scarlet letter for the rest of his LIFE for naughty photos to consenting adult women?!??!?

At least he is good physical condition.  If the penis pictures are real, he is also hung... that is all cool.  Don't know why the media make such a big deal about this guys personal life.  We all have fantasies, desires and stressful jobs, why not to release in anyway situable without hurting anyone.  What about the soem members of the clergy that abuse kids?  Now that is sick!

Liberal Dem's are total idiots and that is why they take up for people like Weiner. He lied to the people who elected him and to the country as a whole. It is about the lies not the photos , you bunch of Stupid Democrats. Weiner is in the party of liars and cheats. Every time Obama speaks it is a lie. Weiner was in a position to be Blackmailed and that is a National Security Problem. He should be thrown out of office and not just allowed to resign .

I am curious to know on what basis the Village Voice can justify calling Andrew Breitbart a "truth-challenged provocateur". He's a provocateur, to be sure, but please offer one verifiable citation to a lie or untruth advanced by Andrew Breitbart. Because I follow Breitbart pretty closely, and have found that he's always completely truthful, well-sourced, and masterful at baiting liberal journalists into positions that expose their bias. One day this guy is going to sue your asses into oblivion.

Weiner is refusing to step down, claiming he hasn't done any illegal that requires him to step down, and that his wife is upset over his behavior.   geee..  maybe people should STOP bashing on Breitbert, eh?  he took the time to get MORE facts and was 100% truthful on what he said he knew, since obviously, one of the women that has come forward is a (D) campaign volunteer .. guess she thought she was the only one that he was messing with.. OOPS!

Looks to me as it IS a set up. You can alter pictures any way you want. For all I know it could be Breitbarts office set up to look like Weiners office.I don't believe anything Bretibart says. He is noted for doing this crap

I dunno which I find more upsetting - that the Weinster is sexting "another woman" or that he apparently doesn't know the correct plural spelling of "pussy"...At least he didn't spell it "pussy's".

Joe, are you surprised? Weiner has ** always ** been a creep, personally, politically and every other possible way.

I deplore 'churnalism' but this might be good time to link to some of those articles about Weiner's D.C. SUV registration etc? (Even though I deplore Bloomturd/Kelly-owned-in-spirit Daily News more than words can convey.)

Better we get rid of this schmuck before worse happens, although I'd like to say the same thing about C. Schuner, C. Quinn, Paul Browne, all the family-related crooks in the Bronx (given passes because they pass as "Latino") etc ad nauseum.

Looks like these photos were obtained through illegal means by Breitbart. Joe: you should take a careful look at a guy named Mike Stack and his ties to Breitbart. What's going on there is far more of a scandal than a few "thang-thang" photos of a congressman.

Weiner is not known for getting mad -- but for getting even. He should brazen this out, and mention the real scandal: the failure of the GOP to advance jobs legislation.

Weiner also has a lot of friends who will make Breitbart's existence a living hell.

I guarantee you that for every Weiner there are three or more GOP legislators at the fedeeral level -- some as influential as Weiner.

And 4chan and Anonymous side more with the Dems and the GOP.

Breitbart has started a war that the GOP will lose, with17 months to elections. Weiner will survive this.

What's the difference???? This conservative/liberal; GOP/DEMOCRAT; left/right;....yada,yada,yada,yada....hogwash is meant to accomplish just what it has. Blurring the REAL issues: soaring gas prices, stolen money from your 401k accounts, death, war hate. We need to get with the program.

karen marie

At least Weiner didn't lie us into war, like Bush.  Nor did Weiner pay prostitutes, like Vitter.   Nor did he get caught trying to solicit sex in an airport bathroom, like Larry Craig.  Nor did he set his mistress's husband up with lobbying work, like John Ensign.

I kind of think I'd STFU if I were a Republican.

karen marie
karen marie

Two words -- Shirley Sherrod.

His attack on her was an out and out fabrication.  Also, too, the ACORN videos were pure adulterated bullshit.

Breitbart got lucky with Weiner, but that does not erase his history of lies and distortions.  He only has credibility with the judgement impaired.

Mark

karen marie

Oh, please.   Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.  Breitbart isn't even close to that.  He got lucky this time, and from what I've read Weiner was low-hanging fruit.

David Vitter hires prostitutes to help him with his diaper fetish, and Louisiana voters still reelected him.  Why do you think Weiner should be held to a higher standard than a confessed law breaker?

FEW
FEW

Weiner pretty much showed us his low standards, if it's just not breaking the law that makes it okay for him not to resign.  He aggressively lied, libeled, made excuses, and insulted.  His press conference today reminded of convicted criminals in front of the judge during sentencing--sorry, so sorry, excuses, no real remorse, still wants what he wants.

FEW
FEW

Come on. A setup?  Weiner wouldn't have had the press conference if it was a setup.  He got burned and he was doing damage control.  That's the only reason he came on and "apologized."  He reminds me of that old Henry Rollins video.  How can you believe the words of a liar, especially one who not only didn't admit right away, but also blamed it on a hacker, but wait there's more; he suggested the hacker was Brietbart.  Can't go any lower than that.  Looks like to me Weiner was the one trying to do the setting up.  He needs to go away.  I have never liked the guy.  Slimey (and excuse me), cocky, big-mouth, arrogant so-and-so.

RomOno

No, I don't think he will. Congress demands it's members be phenomenal liars. As soon as he said, "My twitter account was hacked" the boys on the hill started looking for a replacement. Terrible lie. Terrible politician.

Liberal hypocrisy knows no bounds.

RomOno

Who cares about the photos? They show 'em on network TV so they aren't that bad. The fact that he lied and libeled is the issue. If he had said, "Hell yeah, that's me. It's a joke, get over it you uptight pricks" the whole thing would be over.  You can't serve in congress if you are a terrible liar. It makes the rest of them look bad.

Almaboricua

Lucky? lol ... the lucky one was WEINER for a minute ride. I just cannot believe that Weiner stood in front of the cameras and was trying to spark another lie by suggesting that all was set up. It seems a patern with Democrats and Clinton is the mold. Oh wait, his wife works with a Clinton ... I see it now.

Do remember that what Mr Breitbart did here, while maybe unethical, is not a crime like, say, propositioning for anonymous sex in an airport men's room. That's why Mr. Craig [who went on to serve out the rest of his term] was ARRESTED.Right-wing arrogance and stupidity is what seems to be boundless.

Ummm, you need to take a refresher English, grammar and spelling class partner. And your point about "NOTHING to hide so I have NOTHING to worry about"? Damn, really? You're OK with the government kicking your door in "just to check"? You might want to check into a history class when you enroll in that English class. If you make that option available to one leader, because he is a great guy and he would never abuse it, then the next guy is going to want it too. And the next guy, and the next guy, etc... Eventually someone is going to use it to screw us all. Never give them the power to come in your house without good reason no matter how "innocent" you are. Every government that has had the power to unconditionally monitor their citizens has abused that power. Every one. Including ours. You are a scary guy.

RomOno
RomOno

You are aware of the Patriot Act, right? That is without a doubt the single most damaging piece of legislation concerning personal privacy rights ever. Next is every single "War on Drugs" propelled law ever passed. Both were created and propelled by the GOP. And before you attack me for being liberal, I'm actually a pretty conservative fellow.

Almaboricua
Almaboricua

You are mixing too many views and themes as one and that has been a huge problem to solve or get clarity in our society. your first one "Are Democrats trying to prevent women from getting birth control or appropriate medical care?"  They (democrats) are not stopping women from getting birht control and so forth, however most if not all programs to service this issue are enablers and that is a problem. All women are to learn the reponsibility that motherhood bring and how important is to be educationally and finacially ready to take the task, rather that offering and accomodating and promoting "programs". 2-you said "Republicans define it with their hysterical "social conservatism". Conservatism is proven to mantain traditions and self respect and respect and considerations to others. Is what we all love to say to have, and that is a "Family". Family means unity and togetherness. I beleive that is why millions of women become single mothers. However the essence of family is absent, when there is no father (just an example). 3-When you mentioned "Bush"it shows how difficult is for others to accept there own mistake, flosses, lack of knowledge, ineptisim and so forth. Is like having a badly behave child and defending him regardless and above knowingly so that the child has failed and will continue to fail becuase not one person took the time to correct him. By the way "Bush" is no longer President since 2008 and this is 2011. Any wishes are granted to our Barack Hussein Obama. Where he deceided that using his real name is and it has become "racist" now a days. That to me is an insult to me as a constituent. You have to be who you are and Not to pretend what you are not, but you know what is showing.... just seat and watch. Themonitoring citizens' communications you mentioned at the beggining I was puzzled and confused. But it did not take long to understand that if I have NOTHING to hide then I have NOTHING to worry. As you know our and the world society has changed and other peoples values are not the same and have gotten out of hand. The lack of check and balance is what has takent us to where we are now. Perhaps, if ex President Clinton would of have arrested Osabama Bin Laden back when he first attack from the Towers from the parking underneath, things would have been different. Clinton at that time preferred to mingle and be nice. Right! I was there you were not. I was part of Ground Zero from September 12 until the end as a rescuer and you were not. So, now monitoring the communications to protect us all does not sound that bad, right?

Almaboricua
Almaboricua

I agree with "Its only an issue when Republicans do it because they run of family values" the invation of people's privacy regadless where is unfounded. Family now a days are structured different and same sex couples are part of the equation. So we all move with time always keeping "family as the base and things will be better. We all love the provacy of the bedroom so We All can manifest as We Pleased. All goverment is to stay out of the PRIVACY of ANY ONES' bedroom. Just saying!

karen marie
karen marie

Are you kidding?  Are Democrats trying to prevent women from getting birth control or appropriate medical care?   Talk about an invasion of privacy and the "nanny state" -- Republicans define it with their hysterical "social conservatism."

And, as if you didn't know, it was the Bush administration that began the programs monitoring citizens' communications.  A bit hard to complain about a Democratic administration continuing it when you cheered it on under Bush II.

FEW
FEW

I thought dems ran on family values too, and it's the current administration and congress that wants to invade our private lives more than any other in history.
