Exit 9, East Village Gift Shop, to Re-Open in Urban Roots Space

Last year we declared Exit 9, a quirky little gift shop in the East Village, as our favorite spot to buy whatever for whomever whenever we needed it. Thus, we were awfully sorry when we heard they were closing their East Village location at 64 Avenue A (their last day open was Father's Day). But today we've gotten the good news that they're staying in the neighborhood and will relocate to 51 Avenue A, just down and across the street. (This is the former space of Urban Roots, between 3rd and 4th Streets.)

According to Exit 9's owner, Charles Branstool, "The new space is double the size of the old at 1,000 square feet. This will bring it on par with the size of the Brooklyn store." So, hooray! The store is set to reopen in September.
