In some more clothing and bike-related news, the World Naked Bike Ride was postponed Saturday due to inclement weather.

"We weren't going to get the turnout we were hoping for," volunteer organizer Joe Sharkey told us. "The weather was looking pretty bad."

There was, however, a "postponement party," Sharkey explained, at the space that was planned for the after-party -- 99 South 6th Street in Brooklyn, on the other side of the Williamsburg Bridge from the planned starting point of the ride, East River Park. Once the weather cleared up, there was an abridged version of the ride for about half an hour through Williamsburg.

Postponing the ride was a "hard decision," Sharkey said. But he later added: "A clothing-optional bike ride is definitely something you want decent weather for."

Sharkey said there will "hopefully" be a new date scheduled for sometime in early or mid-July by early next week.
