President Obama Was "Kind of a Dick," Time Editor Says

Mark Halperin, Time Magazine's senior political analyst, was on MSNBC's Morning Joe earlier today and said President Obama was "kind of a dick" for his demeanor in yesterday's press conference. That political analysis came during a riff on seven-second delays, a censorship device that the show clearly doesn't implement. He offered an "absolute" and "heartfelt" apology, both on air and on Twitter shortly after his comments. Still, that was a dick move, Halperin. [Politico]

You guys love to attack conservatives, don't you? If our prez is so great, why is unemployment skyrocketing???

Funnnn - my understanding of the conservative position is that government should not be in the business of "job creation". If that's so, why is everyone on the right faulting Obama for not creating them? Shouldn't your beloved private sector have whipped them up by now, vis-a-vis the perfect system of trickle-down economics? Oh that's right, didn't work under Bonzo either.

In the wake of the recession-inducing financial crisis capital sought shelter from the economic shock which reduced economic growth because of reduced investment. The resulting low interest rates and low inflation expectations have created a climate that is not conducive to investment which would help catch up lost growth and this, coupled with insufficient demand side stimulus after congressional intransigence and a relative lack of the automatic demand stabilizers built into the welfare states in countries like Sweden and Germany, has left productive capacity (including labor) idle.  Oh, did you not want a real answer?  Carry on then.
