Spirit Airlines Hosting 'Weiner Sale' With 'Hard'-to-Resist Deals, Limited Pun Creativity
Let's hand it to Spirit Airlines, the budget travel company, for making a real stretch to capitalize on current events. Instead of leaving cheating website Ashley Madison all of the post-Anthony Weiner glory, Spirit connected a New York congressman to purchasing air travel with only one underwhelming pun: "The Weiner Sale: With Fares Too HARD to Resist." There's a photo of a hot dog, presumably because they couldn't legally license a picture of the congressman without being harassed by his people.
Here's the full text of the promotion, which includes no more linguistic creativity than we saw above:

Between the "scandalous sale," "socially connected," and the command to "book now before this sale gets hacked," exactly none of these words make any sense. But $9!
