Tina Fey Addresses Tracy Morgan's Rant; Police Investigate Brighton Beach Shooting

Tina Fey responded to Tracy Morgan's homophobic rant and his apology, saying, "I'm glad to hear that Tracy apologized for his comments. Stand-up comics may have the right to 'work out' their material in its ugliest and rawest form in front of an audience, but the violent imagery of Tracy's rant was disturbing to me at a time when homophobic hate crimes continue to be a life-threatening issue for the GLBT Community." Some victims of the deadly Joplin, Missouri, tornado have developed a serious fungal infection that can be fatal. It's no joke: It turns your tissue black and causes mold to grow inside your wounds. The fungus is very rare, and major hospitals usually only see one or two cases a year. Eight cases in Joplin have so far been reported, and three victims have died, although it's not clear whether they died because of the fungus or from other injuries. [AP]
