Andrew Cuomo Shouldn't Think About Being President Yet, According to Poll

Despite what he called an "unusually successful" legislative session, it's too early for Andrew Cuomo to be thinking about the United States presidency according to New Yorkers in a new poll. A Siena College survey found that 83% of locals said chatter about a national run in 2016 is premature for the New York governor, while 51% responded that Cuomo shouldn't be Obama's 2012 Vice President either. "Voters continue to have an overwhelmingly favorable view of Andrew Cuomo and a largely positive view of the job he is doing as Governor," said the Siena pollster, but we want him all to ourselves for now. Cuomo insists he's focused, and says "his top priority next year would be limiting retirement benefits for new state and city workers." [NYDN, NYT]
