- Dominique Strauss-Kahn may have been released from house arrest -- and the case against him in NYC may be in hot water -- but he'll still face a criminal probe in France for allegedly assaulting writer Tristane Banon in 2003. Banon, 32, requested the probe this past week; a French prosecutor opened investigation yesterday into whether Banon's claim that DSK tried to tear off her bra and jeans merits going to trial. [NYDN]
