Andrew Cuomo Reconsiders Medical Marijuana

After New Jersey Governor Chris Christie gave the state's medical marijuana program the green light on Tuesday, our own Governor Cuomo is reconsidering whether or not to implement a similar program in New York. A group of New York politicians recently co-sponsored a medical marijuana bill, and yesterday Senator Diane Savino sent Cuomo a letter begging him to pass this legislation. "As someone who has lost both parents to cancer, I know first-hand what it is like to see a loved one in pain and not be able to do anything about it," she wrote. Cuomo told reporters yesterday, "We're talking to both sides of the issues...and we're reviewing it but we don't have a final position." Back on the campaign trail Cuomo said, "The dangers of medical marijuana outweigh the benefits." When a reporter pressed him about whether he's changed his stance, he denied it, insisting that he has "not changed [his] position," but stated he's "always learning and listening, talking and growing." At least they're talking about it.  Cuomo needs to increase his learning curve.  How much more does he need to hear?  He's probably waiting for his constituent pharmasies to assure him his re-election.  I so wish Congress would pass legislation for re-election to become obsolete.  Increase the terms if they have to.  Wouldn't it be grand if senators and representatives could vote their conscience without having to consider the next campaign.

OBSOLETE? ARE YOU KIDDING ME, THAT WAY YOU COULD NEVER VOTE OUT A BAD POLITICIAN, PLEASE GOD NEVER LET THAT IDEA TAKE PLACE. I LIKE POT TOO BUT NOT A GOOD IDEA TO TAKE POLITICAL SUGGESTIONS FROM A POT HEAD LIKE THE ONE ABOVE.

Marijuana has anti-tumor effects, anti-Alzheimer's disease activity, using it reduces one's chances of developing lung cancer and head and neck cancers, it prevents alcohol-related brain damage, it fights the spread of breast cancer cells, it makes sex better, it makes eating more thrilling, it makes going to a museum a revelation, it reduces hostilities and a know-nothing like Cuomo says the dangers out weigh the benefits, what a ignorant coward. He should read the book, "Marijuana Gateway to Health: How Cannabis Protects Us from Cancer and Alzheimer's Disease" on sale in August.

Smells like Andy is looking ahead to a presidential run.
