NFL Lockout No Joke — Or Is It? Let's Go to the Video.

Funny or Die, the comedy film company co-started by Will Ferrell, almost makes the NFL lockout worthwhile with Field of Dreams 2: NFL Lockout, a deadly little spoof that combines the oh-so-easy-to-parody Field of Dreams with the terrifying possibility of the loss of this year's pro football season. The often shirtless Taylor Lautner of the Twilight movies plays the Kevin Costner role, and you guys who have fantasized about pulverizing him yourself will get some satisfaction as Ray Lewis and other NFL stars beat the living crap out of him. And, surprise, Lautner turns out to be a very good sport.

Give the vid a watch and see the Jets' Antonio Cromartie and the Giants' Steve Smith, among many others, make their comedy debut. Dennis Haysbert has the James Earl Jones role and does a better job of explaining the hows and whys of the lockout in 30 seconds than Mike Lupica has done in six months. Kevin Costner even gets a comic lick in as Lautner's dad, and Ray Liotta is wickedly funny as a smarmy Roger Goodell. I give it four stars and two thumbs up.
