Ray Deter, D.B.A. Bar Owner, 'Passes On,' Wife Writes
Earlier this week we brought you the story of d.b.a owner Ray Deter, who was hit by a car while biking on Canal Street Monday. Today his wife, Catherine Lepp, posted the following on Facebook: "Ray will no longer be with us after this weekend, but we hope our loss will give life to others. Please celebrate Ray as he passes on. Love to you all, Catherine, Jake & Maxwell xxxx." The Daily News had reported that Lepp said that doctors were unsure of Deter's chances of survival.
