Tom Cruise Proves He Has a Sense of Humor, Signs Anti-Scientologist's Guy Fawkes Mask

Categories: Scientology

A "member" (we're not supposed to call them that) of Anonymous Berlin has claimed a big victory over Scientologist celebrity Tom Cruise, who agreed, after first refusing, to sign his Guy Fawkes mask at a red-carpet event, seen in the video above.

Anonymous members (there's that word again) often show up at Scientology protests wearing the masks, made famous in the movie V for Vendetta. And Tom Cruise is no dummy -- as a high-level and committed Scientologist, he's well aware of what the masks represent, a mass movement dedicated to exposing and protesting against his religion.

Which makes what he does in the video all the more charming.

At about the 19-second mark, the Anon asks that Cruise sign his mask, and Cruise appears to turn him down.

The mask is then taken away by a security guard, and the Anon pleads to get it back. It's hard to tell, but apparently Cruise then asks for the mask to return it.

At that point, in the Anon's words, he "lovebombed" Cruise to get him to sign it.

Cruise does him one better, drawing a peace symbol on the mask before signing it.

"Man, you're cool. You're really cool," the Anon says.

You can say that again.

Well i never have seen yhis before!Jan 2009, maybe explains a few things, DM's sudden falling interest in prior gear love (TC), and his search for a new love interest that he found in the NOI.Well as they say once you've had  .....Well done Mr Cruise , there may be hope yet!

The all time best TV show on Tom Cruise, was done by French TVhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v...mentions that Tom had had thoughts of the priesthood,  when he was 14.  I think Tom's personal character runs deep.  I think he's overall done good, too bad Scientology's downsides taint everyone caught supporting Scientology.  I try to think positive about the people, and point out the bad ideas and logic.  Another Scientology celeb rock bassist all time  virtuoso Billy Sheehan in the LA anonymous protest of 2008 offered a peace sign http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...   That was a great moment, Billy just went out to one of the first protests, all by his lonesome!

In 2009, when this happened, it is hard to know Tom Cruise's level of awareness of Anonymous. He's an uneducated superstar, not all that bright, and kept in a tight bubble. Remember, his whole "knowingness" of psychiatry is informed by CCHR cuckoo.

I'm fairly sure he has no idea that Anonymous opposes the abuses, control, and lack of free information in Scientology. It is more likely, he views it as a chaos-creating SP group that will attack epilepsy websites for fun and would love to wreck his career.

Isn't this old news?

The fact that he drew an impromptu peace sign, when he could have only autographed it, that actually says a lot.  Remember Anonymous was pretty harsh when they protested Kate Holmes' Broadway play opening.

That was a smart move for TC

I now have a little bit more respect for T.C.  Just a little bit.  Boy...is DM going to be mad.

Yes, well, I would say that Tom had the best anti-psych data that is available now at CCHR.  Tom is probably a member ---- I have been a CCHR member for a long time.

The psychs really screwed up my brother.  I hate them.  This is not hate-mail.  I don't really hate anybody but boy, oh, boy; you Anons and psychs sure push my bottoms, like majorly.

Sadly, most likely true.  Those who live and play in ScientologyWorld only see shadows  in the far far and away horizons of their bubble.  Doubt Cruise understood, but if he did then, doubt he'd re-do.

So this is a very rare, collectible I'd say!

You'd think Ortega would check the damn date on the video before he went all nuts with it, wouldn't you? What a doofus.

kind of. this happened in '09 when TC was promoting his Hitler flick in Berlin.

Psychs screwed me too, but Scientology is worse. The fact is, people are going crazy for reasons that the remarkably STUPID L. Ron Hubbard had no clue, no conception of. He was a college REJECT, he didn't drop out—HE WAS KICKED OUT! He was just another self-medicating Bipolar case who took the wrong medicine BECAUSE HE WAS SO REMARKABLY STUPID. Unfortunately, he built a cult around his insanity.

Psychs don't know what they are doing and never did.

Please don't be a stupid fool by even thinking about sending your friend and family members to the psychs.  They are worse than incompetent.  I don't how you can be worse than incompetent, but the psychs have that down pat.

Mark, or whichever OSA poster this happends to be.  First, I'm sorry to hear that a psych screwed up your brother, I hope he's better now.  But, I have  friends and associates that have had problems with schizophrenia and bi-polar issues that were only able to be treated with meds.  Our brains naturally release certain chemicals to keep us balanced and when there is a deficiency, meds are the only things that keep some people sane.   I worked with a sucessful business woman that stopped taking her meds and she eventually started wearing pajamas to work and claimed she could speak to God through Google.  Yes, there are some bad people in the psych industry and I do think doctors over prescribe drugs, but they do help a lot of people.

P.S. You can save your response on how scientology can cure schizophrenia or bi- polar disorders, because I'm not buying it.

Are you sure there wasn't a story about this that you or Louanne had to spam for the OSA, Terryeo? I believe there was but maybe you didn't bother to actually look at the clip.
