Tyre Davis Says Cops Beat Him Up After He Mocked Them for Stepping in 'Dog Doo'

Poor Tyre Davis! He was only laughing at a cop who stepped in a pile of dog poop, a reasonable reaction, really, to such an unfortunate yet schadenfreude-filled circumstance, and suddenly he was being scolded, handcuffed, and taken to the 46th Precinct by the mocked individual and his partner. Officers Joseph Murphy and Jose Ocasio then allegedly followed Davis, 17, after his release, led him into an alley, and punched him in the ear and the forehead, causing him to fall and hit his head on a brick. All for saying "It smells like doo-doo," Davis, who is a Brandeis High School senior, says. The officers have been charged with assault in the February 18 attack, and are presumably being very careful about where they walk. Their lawyers say they expect to be vindicated. Let us not forget, however, that the true criminal here is the asshole who refused to pick up his dog's shit, without whom none of this would be possible. You, sir, we commend. [NYDN]
