Westboro Baptist Church Coming to New York Sunday to Protest Same-Sex Marriage

• Thank You! I'm happy to see someone else has noticed that there is something mentally wrong with these people.  From watching them on T.V. they look inbred.  They should be classified as an evil cult not a church and should be investigated as such before some grieving person sets their church on fire with all of them in it.  They're too close to Hitler's tyrannical thinking.  

• Another way of shutting down Phred's Phreaks fast is to begin a campaign of collecting pledges for every minute the cult is "protesting", then construct a huge sign so that these perverts know how much money is going to a worthy TLBG charity/political group every minute.

• That's when you pull what the kids from Laramie did during Matthew Shepard's funeral: make angel wings out of PVC pipe and white bedsheets and surround the bastards, singing hymns and playing songs like "Give Peace a Chance", "Imagine" and others.

• If everyone just ignores them, they die, like the giant ad figures in that Simpsons episode. 

• They hate it when they can not be heard or seen. If 50 people show up with boom boxes tuned to the same station they can be drowned out. The difficult part is making them unseen.

• For some reason, they have made the Holocaust museum here in Richmond, VA a regular stop on their hatecation up and down the east coast...Go figure. Some of these folks are sadly, and quite obviously, suffering from severe mental illness, as I have witnessed them in person on their last swing through our town. Pathetic and infuriating, but they are always outnumbered by cops and counter-protesters, so don't bother doing anything rash; the legal fees and associated hassles really aren't worth your time, energy, and $...

• Someone should let the Westboro people know I am coming with full on joy in my heart for my gay friends- and full on rage for these Westboro idiots. I am not sure if the beat down they will receive from me will be worth the lawsuit they file. But we'll soon find out- It's Clobbering Time!

• While I believe in WBC's freedom of speech, I also believe that the couples getting married should have the right to do so in peace.  So I sincerely hope that WBC is not allowed to attend the marriage ceremonies of these couples, but rather are restricted to picketing outside.

• It might be pointed out that NOM, too, is holding "protests" on Sunday, with hopes of financial gain; in NOM's case instead of praying to God for a lawsuit to fall out of the sky, the aim is to attract monetary donations from their gay-bashing followers.  Both NOM and Westboro are whores for hate.   Anybody who would protest weddings is a loser, and in Maggie Gallager's case, a big fat loser.   I offered to help her organize assistance for the homeless all across New York State, in exchange for her calling off her protests; but she did not take me up on that offer.  This tells us something about her prioritizing and her values - she thinks it is more important to be a sausage-fingered, money-grubbing whore for hate than it is to help the homeless.
