PETA to Launch Porno Website

PETA is no stranger to controversy. That's why it comes as no surprise that the animal welfare group is creating a XXX porn site. Well, that comes as a little bit of a surprise. The Huffington Post reports PETA hopes the website will raise awareness for veganism and the treatment of animals at factory farms. It also hopes to raise something else, because that is an easy porn joke. What can you expect at a PETA porn site? "According to [PETA spokeswoman Lindsay] Rajt, it will have enough adult content to qualify for the XXX domain site but also some other graphic images of animals that viewers may not expect to see." Oh, that sounds hot.

In related news, Bill Clinton announced this week that he has started to follow a vegan diet.

PETA frequently uses sexual imagery to promote its cause and have used porn stars in ad campaigns before. The site will feature all types of people, says Rajt. "There will be a lot of girl and boy next door content, but we haven't ruled out celebrities on the site as well."

Both the role of pornography in America and the conditions in our food processing plants and factories are extremely complex and important issues to discuss. Unfortunately, we won't get to that right now, as it is time to think of PETA porno titles.

Sex rocks, but you can't use it to change diet in humans. The zoo issue is interesting, a double edged sword in my opinion. Zoos feed the imagination of millions of people, inspire them to become biologists or zoologists, and ultimately work to protect the animals. I don't believe PETA is wrong with many of their issues, I totally understand their anger with commercial turkey and chicken farmers. Personally I try to harvest the meat I eat organically, via hunting. Animals live their lives naturally, the best kind of life there is, and I get to visit the roots of my humanity by becoming an alpha predator. By the way, hunting is rarely a slaughter of many animals. It's called hunting and not killing because most hunts are solely comprised of sitting in a deer stand or in a duck blind not killing.
