Man Wanted for One Rape, Five Attempted Rapes in Brooklyn

​Police are seeking a man wanted in connection to one rape and five attempted rapes in Brooklyn over the course of the last few months. Starting in March, the man, who is described as a 5'7" Hispanic male between 25-30 and approximately 165 pounds, attacked six women. Five of them managed to break free, but on June 4 at about 3 a.m. in Sunset Park, the man followed a 28-year-old woman into the vestibule of her apartment, forced her to the ground, and raped her.

In March, the man pushed a woman down to the ground in South Slope but she broke free, sustaining minor injuries. Similar incidents happened twice in May; the suspect threatened the victim at knifepoint in one of them. Then there was the rape on June 4. Then on June 25, the suspect attempted a similar crime to the June 4 rape, following a woman into her apartment vestibule at 4 a.m., but he fled when she screamed.

The most recent crime was on Friday, August 26, at around 8:45 p.m. The suspect grabbed the victim, a 28-year-old woman, from behind as she walked down the street, groping her breasts. He tried to force her to the ground but when she screamed, he fled on foot in an unknown direction.
