President Obama will announce his proposal for a rewrite of the U.S. tax code Monday. The major change Obama plans to make will target the wealthiest 0.3% of the country. He is reportedly calling it the "Buffett Rule" after billionaire Warren Buffett's Op-Ed in the New York Times complaining that he receives tax breaks normal Americans do not. The Washington Post says it "will be the centerpiece of Obama's recommendations to a special congressional committee working to craft a bipartisan debt-reduction plan before Thanksgiving." Boxer Floyd Mayweather beat Victor Ortiz in a controversial fight last night in Las Vegas. Mayweather scored a knockout in the fourth round when it appeared Ortiz was apologizing for an earlier head butt. After winning the bout and the welterweight title, Mayweather had a contentious interview with HBO's Larry Merchant. After being insulted by Mayweather, the 80-year-old Merchant told him on air, "If I was 50 years younger, I would kick your ass." [ESPN]

The Arizona Republic has the story of Michael Wogan, a 22-year-old man with muscular dystrophy who was killed while watching the Reno air race. Two of Michael's brothers have muscular dystrophy as well. It's a devastating story but demands a read. [Arizona Republic]

A plane crash killed its pilot during a West Virginia air show, CNN reports. No spectators at the Thunder Over the Blue Ridge Open House & Air Show were hurt when the T-28 aircraft careened to the ground yesterday afternoon. This comes one day after the aforementioned air race accident in Reno that has so far claimed 9 lives. [CNN]

How about this conflict of Interest  , I mean you have to ask Whats in it for Warren Buffett ??? I think Buffett needs the tax hike that Obama seeks so Obama can Pay Buffett the interest payments the Government owes him   .

Obama’s ‘Buffett Tax’ instead of true private sector supply-side economic growth , it takes care of payments to Buffet that the Banks , like BofA , Goldman Sachs , wels fargo all will benenfit from the increased revenues that will filter down  and Government interest in T-bills GOV owes Warren plus it keeps the environmentalists happy and willing to vote for Obama because of the NO Growth economic policies , CZAR Holdren and his band of Merry Earth first Humanity second cheerleaders advocate . What do you think ?

Just pay your fair share of taxes buddy and stop accepting money from your GOP pals :-D

"Evenif it were desirable, America is not strong enough to police the world bymilitary force. If that attempt is made, the blessings of liberty will bereplaced by coercion and tyranny at home. Our Christian ideals cannot beexported to other lands by dollars and guns. Persuasion and example are themethods taught be the Carpenter of Nazareth, and if we believe in Christianitywe should try to advance our ideals by his methods. We cannot practice mightand force abroad and retain freedom at home. We cannot talk world cooperationand practice power politics."

CongressmanHoward Buffett, father of the billionaire investor Warren Buffett, was the RonPaul of his day. He was a strict constitutionalist, opposed to thewelfare-warfare state, a foreign policy non-interventionist, and a strongbeliever in the gold standard.
