Hollister Paints Another Totally Necessary Mural On Houston

Because SoHo needed another enormous mural depicting a Southern California symbol. Hollister's latest addition to its display of murky brown mega-advertising is the California state flag, a natural fit for the space that used to have a DKNY mural with the Statue of Liberty.

At least it's not as huge as the logo one on the right. And it's not as if they're ruining the street cred of some pristine cutting-edge neighborhood -- it's too late for that in SoHo. The murals are pretty ugly though; we don't blame you if you're secretly hoping the "surfer" store gets bedbugs again.

This mural depicts how boring and mundane commercial speech really is!

It's not just murals, they pump some kind of california odor out of the store that's behind the original mural.  I think it's pachouli + ball sweat.
