The Jeffrey Eugenides Billboard in Times Square Is Crazy
Is Jeffrey Eugenides, author of The Virgin Suicides and the new The Marriage Plot, a heartthrob? We've already seen him attempt to defend a woman on New Jersey transit -- it was ill-fated. Now he's swashbuckling away in Times Square, on a huge billboard for his new book:

It's rare that literary stars get treated like Hollywood stars, and it's kind of cool. Look at the dude. Vest blowing in the wind, intense frown...he recalls Indiana Jones but nerdier.
We've reached out to Eugenides for comment on his new turn as an egghead Harrison Ford; hopefully we hear back. Publishing: a glamour industry once more? (LOL.)
